Present to Celebrate Agung's Birthday???

7 June 2008 - Malaysians were bracing themselves for a petrol price increase for a few weeks before the actual announcement. But whatever the people did could not have prepared them for the 'gift' the government was about to dish out to its people. In what appear to be a non-analysis done by the government, in its usual non-chalant manner the government did an about-turn from a planned increase of petrol price in Aug/Sept, the government decide to hike the price now. Could it be that the government wanted to give its people a 'Merdeka gift' but changed its mind later for a 'Agung's birthday' present instead? Well, well well.. It appears likely to be so...
And it appear that our beloved Prime Minister had really wanted to give us Malaysians a huge gift indeed. Can you imagine petrol price increase of 50%?? The snowballing effect on other stuff?? The recession and inflation that is going to take place because of this? Don't the Prime Minister or anybody in his cabinet has a little knowledge of economics??

And to top it off, our beloved decide to win over its detractors by comparing with non-fuel producing nations? Interesting isn't it? More interestingly, how could RM2.70/litre of petrol charged which is close to its market price of RM3.00/litre still be any cheaper than prices charged in other countries especially oil-producing countries? Do the government think we Malaysians are stupid or what? Isn't the recent election enough to tell the BN that we Malaysians are now a thinking lot? Decided to do my own research and look what I found.. Well, I'll just let the picture speak for itself and you decide for yourself lar...

So now, instead of pumping petrol into their cars, Malaysians could very well be doing this instead...

Accidental Blogger

6 May 2008 - After much contemplation on whether to join the bloggers in the world of bloggersphere, I finally became an accidental blogger on this day. Yup, I started a site with missions in mind - meant to bring the fire and passion of missions into the heart of the youth of my church. Mission failed to get the approval of our resident da rev, however. Rather than seeing it go to waste, decided to use it now as a site where I shall post on all matters on a subject very close to my heart - missions!!!

To pay a visit, click http://powerhousemission.multiply.com/ . Enjoy!!!
